On November 6, Alia Bhatt gave birth to a stunning baby girl. While the family went home with their new daughter, there was much speculation about the child’s name. The name of the young child has finally been disclosed by Alia, and it’s beautiful! She also included a photo of them holding their newborn for the first time. Here is what the name “Raha,” given to the child by the couple, means.
Alia wrote, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings…Raha, in its purest form means divine path, in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL! ❤️ Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun. ☀️☀️☀️”
Neetu Kapoor, Raha’s grandma, chose her name. Raha already owns a football jersey because her father is an avid football enthusiast, which is another endearing fact. The Kapoor family has a long history of members with last names that begin with the letter “R,” including Ranbir Kapoor, his sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahani, Randheer Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, and Ranbir himself. It follows that the family’s selection of the initial “R” is not surprising. The name has already garnered praise from fans, who also showered Alia’s post with praise. The pair is obviously loving this new stage in their relationship, but their supporters are confident they’ll be loving parents.
