Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor Wedding

The wedding that had been anticipated the most for 2022 eventually took place after months of rumours and media hysteria. The wedding celebration for Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who are popular in B-town, was nothing short of magical. Although it was first believed that Ranbir and Alia would wed at the family’s ancestral home behind RK Studios, where his cousin sister Karisma Kapoor wed, it has now been made known that their private ceremony would take place at Vastu in Pali Hill, where Ranbir and Alia currently dwell. The couple has been dating for a while, but they have essentially kept their relationship a secret. The release of their most recent film, Brahmastra, however, put the spotlight on their relationship.

The Mehandi

The mehndi ceremony on April 13 was absolutely wonderful! The mehndi ceremony began with family performances and much joy, but it was kept quiet from the media. In spite of the fact that the bride and groom were ethereal during their mehndi ceremony, their “Tera Hone Laga Hoon” moments caught everyone’s attention with breathtaking photos!

Alia Bhatt took over Instagram and talked about her feelings, “The Mehendi was like something out of a dream. It was a day full of love, family, our beautiful best friends, a LOT of French fries, a surprise performance by the ladkewalas, Ayan playing DJ, a BIG surprise organised by Mr Kapoor (my favourite artist performed my favourite songs), all followed by some happy tears and quiet, blissful moments with the love of my life. There are days… and then there are days like these! 💕♾”

In a fuchsia pink lehenga by Manish Malhotra, Alia Bhatt was adorable. She went with a sustainable handmade trousseau made of 180 textile patches to commemorate her big occasion, which was truly the most precious one. Her mehndi attire was made even more beautiful by the lehenga that was adorned with genuine gold zari and appliques. The lehenga also features Kachha Resham knots, jacquard, bandhani, and Banarasi brocades. Ranbir Kapoor looked sophisticated in Sabyasachi’s fuschia pink Kurta Pyjama topped with a beautiful Nehru Jacket design, while Alia Bhatt exuded a regal air. For the mehndi function, Alia chose a simple Mehndi design. The mehndi celebration pictures of their family and friends prove a happy-shappy mehndi function celebration with a lot of popular faces like the Ranjan Sisters, director & acting cupid – Ayan Mukherjee, of course, the Kapoor khandaan along with Saif Ali Khan, Taimur & Jeh – an endless list!

The Wedding Day

Alia Bhatt’s wedding arrived like a breath of fresh air after a string of the customary royal crimson Indian weddings that celebrities hosted over the previous two years. Their all-white wedding attire and the simple daytime ceremony undoubtedly created a wedding that will be remembered for years to come.

Alia Bhatt took over Instagram and shared the news of her dreamy wedding and wrote, “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot – the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship – we got married. With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together … memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special. Love, Ranbir and Alia.”

With a Sabyasachi hand-dyed ivory organza sari decorated with exquisite tile work and a hand-embroidered tissue veil, Alia appeared nothing short of a princess. Her favourite embroidery included delicate butterflies, hummingbirds, daisies, and leafy designs on her blouse. Alia is wearing jewellery from Sabyasachi’s Heritage, which is made of gorgeous pearls and diamonds. Ranbir Kapoor looked dapper in Sabyasachi’s embroidered Silk Sherwani capped with diamond buttons. We are swooning over his multi-strand pearl necklace – a traditional Satlada Haar.

After the wedding, the couple went on to cut a three-tier cake and made a champagne toast to celebrate the beginning of their new adventure. Later in the evening, once the wedding celebrations were done, the couple changed their ivory wedding outfits to matching red ones and danced the night away to groovy Bollywood numbers.

Reception

Following the wedding festivities, the couple threw a reception at Vastu where they upped the glam factor with their attire. Alia appeared ready to party the night away in a short, silver-colored Oscar de la Renta dress, and Ranbir looked sharp in a black suit. Bollywood heavyweights like Arjun Kapoor and his girlfriend Malaika Arora, actor Aditya Roy Kapur, Shahrukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan, and Karan Johar were among the guests at this star-studded party.
