Upcoming Blockbuster Bollywood films

After two long and difficult epidemic years, the film industry is finally beginning to see optimism and resurrection on the horizon. Here’s a glimpse at what 2022 has in store for Bollywood films, including some of the greatest entertainers and promising flicks.

RRR is a Telugu period action drama directed by S. S. Rajamouli and produced by DVV Entertainments’ D. V. V. Danayya. N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Olivia Morris appear in the film, which also features Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, and Shriya Saran. Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem, two Indian revolutionaries, are fictionalised in this larger-than-life storey (Rama Rao).

Laal Singh Chaddha

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has made headlines owing to its numerous locales, long and arduous filming schedule, pandemic delays, and perfectionist Aamir Khan’s incredible transformation into the title character. Advait Chandan directs this long-awaited comedy-drama, which is based on a script by Eric Roth and Atul Kulkarni. The official adaptation of the 1994 film Forrest Gump (based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name) is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios, and Paramount Pictures. Kareena Kapoor also appears in the film, as does Naga Chaitanya, who is making his Hindi cinema debut..

Gangubai Kathiawadi

If the debut trailer for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s biographical crime drama is any indication, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ will be a spectacle unlike any other. The film is produced by Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada and features yet another outstanding performance by Alia Bhatt. Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, and Seema Pahwa also star, with Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi making cameo appearances. The storey follows little Ganga as she overcomes obstacles to become Gangubai, the madame who governs Kamathipura’s red light district with an iron grip. It is partially based on S. Hussain Zaidi’s book “Mafia Queens of Mumbai.”

Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij, and Lalit Tiwari star in the YRF film based on Chahamana (Chauhan) dynasty monarch Prithviraj Chauhan. The Chandraprakash Dwivedi-directed picture is set to enter theatres on January 21.

KGF Chapter 2

KGF Chapter 2 is an upcoming Kannada period drama action film written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the label Hombale Films, following the big-bang success of KGF Chapter 1, the sequel to the 2018 film. This film is projected to be a blockbuster hit, given the increased popularity of south Indian films across the country. South Indian superstar Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, and Raveena Tandon feature in KGF Chapter 2.

Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Vaani Kapoor will star in the historical action drama, which will be the sixth biggest release of 2022. The film, which began filming in December 2018 and will be released on March 18, is currently in post-production.

Shehzada has all the makings of a blockbuster superhit, starring Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Ronit Roy, and Sachin Khedka. The film is directed by Rohit Dhawan and is an action-packed family musical. Pritam created the film’s music, which was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Allu Arvind, S.Radha Krishna, and Aman Gill.

Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan feature in the mythical film based on ‘Ramayan,’ which was shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. On August 11, the film, as well as its dubbed versions in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, will be released.

Remake of Vikram Vedha

On September 30, the neo-noir action thriller starring Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, and Radhika Apte will be released in theatres.

 Ram Setu

‘Ram Setu,’ directed by Abhishek Sharma, will have a Diwali release for Akshay Kumar. The film, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha, will hit theatres on October 21.
