Even though we adore lavish Indian weddings, little weddings have a special allure. You can be as honest as you can, dress whatever you want, and invite only your closest friends. And the wedding of Masaba Gupta is one such occasion that not only astounded us but also caught us off guard. This morning, Masaba and her longtime partner Satyadeep Mishra got married in a small court wedding, which she announced on Instagram. Get all the details by scrolling down below!

Masaba Gupta, an accomplished performer and designer, wed Satyadeep Mishra, an actor she had met while working on the film Masaba Masaba, in front of her closest family and friends. This is truly a private moment for the two of us, and we wanted to appreciate it above all else, the actor said in an exclusive statement to Vogue.

Instead of worrying about the details and making decisions to appease guests, the couple wanted the wedding to be more about them. The couple wed in a low-key court ceremony and announced that a reception with fewer than 100 guests would soon follow.

Masaba also told Vogue that her father’s flight from the Caribbean “meant a lot.” For the first time in my life, my stepfather, father, mother, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law will all be there in the same room to celebrate with me. I wanted it to be secret since that was the most important time of my life for me.

It’s hardly shocking that Masaba and Satyadeep chose House of Masaba for their wedding attire, but we appreciate how the couple’s family members coordinated with them as well. Masaba donned a barfi pink “paan-patti” lehenga for her special day, which she accessorised with two dupattas: one with a rani pink “open hearts” embellishment and the other with a lime green wallflower print and a sequined border. The unique border has the first-ever Masaba motif, “the palm” and the “chidiya,” which honours the blending of tradition and freedom, according to the designer’s Instagram post. The bride, who was blushing, looked stunning in her own design!

Satyadeep was not far behind Masaba, who appeared stunning in her lehenga. Mishra dressed comfortably in a kurta-pajama and a matching wallflower bandi on his special day. “I think when it comes to men’s attire, simplicity is the future of weddings, including grooms,” Gupta tells Vogue.

She is the child of former West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards and veteran actress Neena Gupta. She appeared in “Masaba Masaba,” her first film, and “Modern Love Mumbai.” In 2011, Satyadeep made his acting debut in “No One Killed Jessica.” His most recent appearances on the big screen were in “Vikram Vedha” as a senior investigator and in the web series “Mukhbir” as a spy.
