Fashion. Is. For. Everyone. Scream it, tell it, write it or do whatever you need to make you accept it. Once you have accepted that, understand that fashion is self-care. The clothing you put on your body is as important as your other self-care practices. Fashion has become one of the essential movements of getting through it during this pandemic, and we are all about it. It’s the therapy we all need and deserve.

The clothes you wear, even while working from home can boost your confidence and self-esteem. Here we are going to talk about fashion self-care.

“You decide what you are, what you want to express, by the way you dress.” – Gianni Versace.

How is fashion self-care?
This is a proven fact that the style of clothing impacts your psychology. When you look good, you feel good. The colors and styles that you put on can determine how you feel about yourself.

You can observe this yourself when you are dressed in PJs, and you are telling yourself that today is a lazy day and not worth getting dressed up. You are disturbing productivity by not dressing up and getting things done. If you dress up, it automatically gives your brain a signal to be active, and you feel confident. You’re telling yourself that you deserve fashion.

You’ve probably experienced this before. You put on your favorite dress, and you instantly feel like dancing? Or you throw on a string of pearls, and your mood elevates. For me, whenever I put on animal prints, I know I’m about to have a fierce day.

“You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it.” – Edith Head.
Why is personal style linked with self worth?

As mentioned above personal style shows how you feel and how you see yourself. It takes a lot of confidence to select and express your personal style. For me personally, it took years to figure out my style and what looks good on me. Instead of thinking about what you ‘should’ be wearing think about what you want to wear. Having your individual style will make you stand out in the crowd and that will surely boost your confidence. It says, I’m worth looking beautiful and shine my own light, not being subdued! It says, I honor and respect myself, I love to look beautiful and I own who I am.

What can you do to become braver?

We have heard people ask this question so many times, so today, we will answer it. Go to your closet and rate each outfit; ask yourself how it makes you feel and if you really love every item in there. Declutter your closet and find your style. Instead of buying new clothes, try DIYs and give them an amazing look.
